Okay yes get a sun screen with a high SPF and always apply it while you are out in the sun.
Also what you eat can help, drink lots of fruit juices but always drink with a straw, its a little trick i picked up from my dentist, the juice has less contact with the teeth so they wont erode or stain.
But especially drink orange juice and cranberry juice, orange juice contains vitamin C which naturally stimulates the development of collagen, and cranberry juice is a good antioxident which would leave your skin looking fresh.
Also drink plenty of water and eat carrots and cucumber.
I also drink nettle tea, it doesnt sound very good, and when i first tried it i thought it tased nasty but after a few cups i began to like it, it increases cell renewal and its good for your hair as well. I have mine with nothing in just the tea and water, its really good : ]
And get plenty of sleep, theres no need to over do it, but sleep is just great for your skin, and you shoud work out as well because it circulates the blood better and your complexion will look much brighter.
Trust me keeping up a healthy lifestyle will benifit you over the years
Hope i helped : ]

#1 thing, always apply a sunscreen with the highest SPF you can find. sun rays are the main cause of early aging.
keep up a good skin care routine:
-cleanse daily
-tone after you cleanse
-exfoliate twice a week
-spot treat your zits
-moisturize often!
-do a mask once a week
also a good diet is key to healthy skin.
stick to leafy greens, lean meats, foods that contain omega 3, and fresh fruits.
drink lots of water!
stay away form caffeine in general.

Keep sunscreen on. Always. Since you lifeguard I would suggest an SPF30. Reapply every couple of hours.
Wear a baseball cap while spending hours in the sun.
Don’t smoke.
Avoid drinking out of straws. It can have the same effect as sucking a cigarette to the corners of your mouth. (yes it helps teeth but you are worried about skin and wrinkles)
Don’t go to the tanning bed.
Use a pretty good moisturizer on your face every night after you wash your face. I was suggested by a dermatologist (I’m only 24) to go ahead and start using an anti-wrinkle cream around my eyes. Not that they are proven to help, but they sure can’t hurt. There are some good ones out there at a reasonable price. I’ve used Olay brand and Garnier Nutritioniste. Both gave lots of moisture to my eyes and helped with any puffiness.
If you like to have a tan look, there are great lotions out now with hints of color in them. Try Dove or Jergens.
Drink lots of water. Cranberry juice is good for complexion too.
Try green tea moisturizer.
Visit a dermatologist once a year to check for any spots, since skin cancer is in your family history.

everybody’s right, better wear a high spf sunscreen for sun protection because the sun is the no.1 cause for skin cancer and premature wrinkling.. plus you have to re-apply it every 2 hours because of the nature of your job..
other thing, since you have a family history of skin cancer, i suggest that you look for another job.. i’m sure that there’s something better out there for you.. good luck.
