My friend is gauging his ears and in one ear he has these wrinkles in the hole were the gauge goes. these wrinkles make it harder to put the gauge in. He has looked all over the internet and there is nothing about them. what do they mean? and how to get rid of them?

From the sound of I think he has 'cat butt'. this is when the ear folds in on itself giving it the appearance of a cats butt. Even if I'm wrong his ear shouldn't be like that. I recommend him taking out his current jewelry and going to a smaller size.
